LYCAN - Layered Protection
Lycan uses a multi-layered method. Signals from various sensors are integrated into IEC’s IntrudIR Alert control system, which detects and identifies even small Class I drones (such as a DJI Phantom) at a distance of over 3 miles. This is analogous to seeing surface details on a grain of sand held at arm’s length.

LYCAN - Ease of Use
The Lycan is managed by IEC’s IntrudIR Alert middleware. All sensor data and system control functions are combined into a single, user-configurable panel. IEC software distinguishes between potential threats (drones) and harmless objects like birds (sometimes known as “clutter”). Built-in patented heuristics reduce operator fatigue and attention by prioritising important goals and reducing clutter from the screen.
