Compact Long Range HD Multi-Spectral Surveillance System

The FLIR TacFLIR® 280HD Gimbal is a high-performance land-based imaging system designed to identify and track smugglers, terrorists, or any other threat – day and night, and in the toughest terrain. Tailored for mobile deployment with high-definition imaging and powerful optics, TacFLIR 280-HD reveals the details necessary for long-range vehicle detection, identification, and threat assessment. The long range performance allows operators longer standoff to detect and identify targets.

Optimized for vehicle operations, gyro-stabilized TacFLIR 280-HD provides crisp, stable imagery through total darkness and smoke while on the move. Qualified and rugged, it’s built to MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-810. Customize payload with multiple options, including CCD or SWIR spotter scope, laser illuminator, and laser pointer. Internal navigation system and laser rangefinder provide accurate target location coordinates to pinpoint areas of interest and support precision tracking solutions for all sensors.

FEATURES

HD EXTENDED RANGE THERMAL IMAGING
720 InSb IR focal plane array detects and identifies targets at longer standoff and with higher resolution. 640 also available.

CONTINUOUS ZOOM DAY/LOW-LIGHT CAMERA
HD sensors with 20x continuous zoom and 120x total magnification produce vivid colours and superior night visibility.

EYESAFE LASER RANGEFINDER
Accurately determine range to target and geo-location for fire control calculations. Optional NIR and SWIR laser pointer and illuminator available.

INTERNAL NAVIGATION SYSTEM
Embedded INS determines and disseminates accurate target location coordinates.
